Nowadays, international economic and trade, cultural and educational exchanges are increasingly frequent. Meanwhile, international disputes involving cross-rules, cross-laws and cross-cultures are increasing. More attention has been paid to international mediation, a flexible settlement mechanism for international disputes. In order to further deepen exchanges and cooperation global mediation and to cooperate with the implementation of the national "the belt and road " initiative, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Chongqing Municipal Government will host the "2019 International Mediation Summit " in Chongqing from October 16 to 18, 2019.

The theme of this Summit is "Exploring the International Diversified Dispute Resolution Mechanism in the New Era", especially in the context of the coming into force of the Singapore Convention (International Settlement Agreements Resulting from Mediation). It focuses on the exchange and discussion of new ideas, new methods, practical skills and cooperation modes of international commercial dispute mediation, with a view to promoting the wide application of mediation in commercial disputes, forming a more efficient international mediation and cooperation mechanism, and facilitating the settlement of international commercial disputes.
